We’re grateful to be able to connect with individuals in our community - even if it’s from a distance.

Company Announcement
The DEI Council recently announced the creation of employee resource groups (also known as ERGs or Affinity groups). These are groups of employees who join together in the workplace based on shared characteristics or life experiences. ERGs are generally based on providing support, enhancing career development, and contributing to personal development in the work environment. In the past, ERGs were traditionally focused on personality traits or characteristics for underrepresented groups, for example women, sexual orientation, race, etc. With the resurgence of ERGs in the workplace, they are expanding to "interest-based" groups, gathering employees with common interests in particular activities. Some of these include job responsibility, environmental advocacy, community service and volunteerism, and workplace wellness.
The Preiss Company’s DE&I council is happy to announce the creation of our first 3 ERG’s:

Rainbow Coalition
Each group will be having a “kick off” zoom meeting during the first week of March. However, if you are not able to attend these meetings, you’ll have the opportunity to join any future meetings!
Reminder
Did your 2021 New Year's resolution include a focus on your personal health and wellness? As a reminder, The Preiss Company offers a benefit to reimburse you for your health and wellness efforts. At The Preiss Company, we understand that increasing physical activity and wellness initiatives can improve an individual’s overall wellbeing. Because of this, we offer all full-time employees a Healthy Lifestyle Reimbursement Program that provides reimbursement for participation in certain healthy lifestyle activities.

Shout Out
Team Flats at Carrs Hill
Job well done to the team at Flats at Carrs Hill in Athens, GA. A resident’s parent at the Flats on Carrs Hill in Athens, GA recently sent this message to the regional manager, Colton Lassinger.
“I am on a UGA parent site and the HORROR stories I see about other complexes (old and new) is alarming … mold, German roaches, fruit flies, trash in halls, rodents, appliances not working, smoke alarms going off at all hours and not being turned off, thefts, break-ins, etc. We have been so pleased with the Flats. The office staff is excellent (Amanda Williams and Brittany), maintenance is always responsive, the resident appreciation activities are recognized and appreciated by my daughter, her roommates and others. When my husband and I visit our daughter the building is always well maintained, clean, well lit, gates and doors are secure, etc. We honestly could not be happier with the Flats. If Katie was not graduating or returning to Grad school, we would have signed another lease.”
Team Signature Hartwell Village
Kudos to the team at Signature Hartwell Village in Clemson, SC. Recently, a parent posted to a Facebook group, recommending the property to others.
