Preiss, in collaboration with IRIS Technologies, has successfully launched the nation’s first off-campus student housing community with a complete mobile wallet access experience.
Implemented at The Collective at Norman, serving students from University of Oklahoma, residents can now securely access unit doors, bedrooms, and shared amenities using Apple Wallet and Google Wallet on their smartphones or wearables.
Developed through a multi-year collaboration between The Preiss Company, IRIS Technologies, Quext, Allegion, Apple, and Google, the new system eliminates the need for physical keys and fobs in favor of a simple tap-to-access experience that works even when devices are offline or low on battery.

This is our first management assignment with a new Ownership client. We hope to expand our footprint further with this Owner to continue our expansive growth!

The Row comprises 82 units and 328 beds and is located just to the south of the University of Missouri campus. This deal marks our 1st acquisition with Monument Square Investment Group on the third party management side. DEI Council Updates
The DEI Council is so excited to kick off Preiss’ First Annual Day of Service! This is a chance for our teams to step away from the day-to-day, come together, and give back to the communities we serve. It’s all about teamwork, shared experience, and celebrating the good we can do when we show up together.
We’re excited to announce our 2026 Day of Service theme: Environmental - Rooted in Service! Let’s dig in and make a difference together!
Projects Inspiration:
Park or neighborhood clean-ups
Tree planting or community garden projects
School-based sustainability initiatives
Community space beautification
Team Playbook:
Choose a day between April 20th and April 24th
Properties close for one full day
Employees who opt out should use PTO
Volunteer commitment must be a minimum of 6 hours
Activities must be team-oriented and environmentally related
Sites are encouraged to partner with a local nonprofit, parks department, school, or community organization
Budget approximately $30 per person for potential supplies and lunch
Key Dates:
February 27: Select your volunteer project and submit this form. (One per site)
March 6: Regional approval of your project
March 20: Site confirms nonprofit partner and scheduled date
April 30: Post-event reporting due using this form (photos + impact metrics)
