We have successfully closed our first deal of 2022! University Trails is an 828 bed property located in College Station, Texas. We will be investing over $3.5m in capex which will include unit upgrades, clubhouse renovations and exterior painting/refresh.
This is our first entry into the College Station market and will be our 7th market in Texas! We acquired the deal with Nuveen which now gives us 15 properties under management with this partner (9 acquisitions, 5 third-party and 1 development). Doing 15 deals with one group is no small feat! It is a testament to all facets of our business especially with a group like Nuveen (the 5 largest manager of real estate globally).

Say hello to another great addition to The Preiss Company! 🎉 The Connection at Auburn offers 900 beds for premium living near Auburn University. The Connection was built in 2008 and is a 3rd party management deal. This is our second community we currently manage in the Auburn market.

Some other exciting news! Eastern on 10th in Greenville, NC was recently up for sale but we were able to successfully recap the deal with new partners. Not only will this will allow us to keep the asset in the Preiss Company portfolio, but we will be able to invest money into capital improvements for the property.
Shout out to our New Business team, PM Leadership team and the on-site property team for helping make this all possible. We’re excited to continue having a strong footprint in the Greenville, NC market!

“Last week Alexis Guerra celebrated her 5 year anniversary with Preiss and over those 5 years she has put in nothing less than 120%. Prior to working at the Luxx, I was a resident and this was how I originally met Alexis. As a resident, Alexis always made me feel as if I was taken care of and truly valued. She was always a welcoming face in the office and went above and beyond for not only myself, but also for my friends who lived at Luxx as well. For example, over this past summer, my boyfriend and I ran into some issues with a car being towed. Even though it was 8:00pm and on a weekend, Alexis got back to us within minutes and was able to direct us in the right direction. She is truly dedicated to this job and goes beyond for the residents at Luxx. Since I have worked in the office, she has been nothing but supportive. Due to me not being with the company for very long, I still have many questions and she is always so willing to help. The support I receive from her in the office daily is more than appreciated and does not go unnoticed. Alexis is an AMAZING leasing agent and kills her goal each and every month.
