What is “culture”?

I always thought culture = morale and I’ve learned that I was wrong because morale is acutally the result of the state of culture.

Culture isn’t a plaque displayed at the front of an office, a memo to all employees or a company event. It isn’t limited to our organization’s values or something we “do” and then forget about until later.

Culture is legacy. It is the constant that is always there, in the past, present and future. As a business, our people are the culture and are the essence of who we are. Culture is the one thing our competition can try to duplicate but can’t take from us. And in my opinion, we have the best culture you could ask for!

We recently traveled around the country asking our employees to choose one word they would use to describe the Preiss Company. Here is what they said.
