Please say hello to Midtown Auburn, a 315 bed boutique cottage-style community located approximately 1.5 miles from Auburn University. The property offers studio, 2 bedroom, 3 bedroom and 4 bedroom floor plans.
This addition to our portfolio marks our 5th deal with our partner and the first of which on the third-party management side. This increases our total bed count in Auburn to 2460 beds!
Please help us welcome Holleman Crossing, a 432-unit, 792-bed property in College Station, Texas. Serving Texas A&M University, this property represents our 2nd owned asset and third managed asset in the market. Holleman Crossing also represents our 19th managed property in the state of Texas!
Built in 2016, Holleman Crossing is a popular asset in the market with Texas A&M students. With a mix of 1, 2, and 4 bedroom units, our business plan includes a light interior renovation of 100% of the 2 and 4 bedroom units, updating appliances, cabinet hardware, and adding a tile backsplash in the kitchens. Additionally, we plan on refreshing the clubhouse and amenity areas with some new furniture and fitness equipment. Lastly, our Iris Technologies team will be helping us add new smart front door locks on all units.
We are also excited to announce that as part of this same transaction with our longtime partner Investcorp, we also were able to re-cap two of our existing properties. The Collective at Norman and The Outpost, two of our existing projects in Norman, OK and San Marcos, TX, also transacted at the same time. This re-cap of both projects will allow an infusion of new capital into both of these projects, including major interior renovations of both assets. Both projects have been wildly successful as part of the Preiss portfolio and this re-cap with Investcorp allows for us to get them some much needed capital and keep them in the portfolio for years to come!
