We wanted to take this opportunity to announce a milestone event for the Preiss organization! Our organization successfully re-capitalized 5 properties in our portfolio, marking the single largest transaction in the history of our company, totaling nearly $350M. This transaction is not only OUR largest, but will certainly be one of the largest in the entire student housing space this year. The five properties that were re-capped are:
Signature 1909 in Austin, TX
Signature 1505 in Raleigh, NC
Park on Morton in Bloomington, IN
Cabana Beach Gainesville in Gainesville, FL
Cabana Beach San Marcos in San Marcos, TX
With the closing of these 5 assets, Preiss and Investcorp now have 13 assets in the portfolio in our joint-venture ownership.
We’re also excited to announce the closing of The Nest at 4955 located in Wilmington, NC! This is our second deal with our existing client, CQM and the 2nd current deal in Wilmington, joining Plato's Lofts at Randall.
The Nest is a 74 unit, 348 bed community located directly across the street from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. New Ownership is deploying capital in a rebrand from the name Lighthouse to The Nest at 4955 to help improve the overall reputation of the community and drive word of mouth buzz in the market.
We're excited to jump into this opportunity as we work closely with Ownership and utilizing our market knowledge and strategies to stabilize the asset for 25/26 AY and thereafter. Check out our new addition HERE!
